What is a accident, incident & riddor reporting policy and who needs one?
An accident and incident reporting policy explains how injuries, near misses, occupational diseases and dangerous occurrences are recorded, investigated and, where required, reported to HSE under RIDDOR 2013. Every employer needs a reliable process, and buyers ask about incident reporting and your RIDDOR history in health and safety questions.
Explains what must be reported, how and when, including RIDDOR notifications to the HSE, investigation, corrective actions and record keeping.
Why buyers ask for this
Employers must report certain injuries and dangerous occurrences to the HSE under RIDDOR 2013, and buyers commonly ask how you record, report and learn from accidents and near misses.
Who needs it
Every employer. RIDDOR requires certain workplace injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences to be reported to the HSE.
Where it comes up in a PQQ, SQ or PSQ
